About

Our Manifesto:

L&C is a Chicago-based lifestyle website for women.

We believe in: Going after what you want, and learning from the people who have it; the power of the right outfit; working hard and playing hard; new experiences; beautiful places; boss ladies; and brunch. (Mimosa, plz.).

A sampling of what you’ll find around the site:

Style advicebeauty tips, decor ideas, and interviews with women who inspire us, like start-up founders, successful bloggers, fashion designers, TV stars, super moms, and a whole lot more.

Meet the Team:

Kaitlin Madden, Founder, Style & Home Editor

Kaitlin founded Lux & Concord in December 2012 after leaving a job as an editor at a lifestyle magazine to join an interior design one. As much as she loved (and still loves) home decor, she missed two things about her old job: One, interviewing awesome, inspiring people. And two, writing about broader lifestyle topics. So she started L&C as a way to continue to do both. By day, she is the founder of In House Social Co., and still writes about design and decor, and spends her free time decorating her house, and working on L&C (best. hobbies. ever). Follow her on Instagram and Twitter at @kaitmadden, and find out more about her freelance writing biz at kaitlinmadden.com.

Kaleigh Glaza, Senior Editor, Food & Travel

A lifelong Chicagoan, Kaleigh currently works in the Windy City’s food social media and marketing world, which is perfect for her cheese and chocolate-obsessed self. She is happy to be able to lend her pen (aka laptop) to Lux & Concord for food, travel and fashion features. She  loves the Cubs, Beyonce, Champagne, and sunflowers (if you need gift ideas).  In addition to L&C, her work has also appeared in Refinery29The EveryGirl, Glitter Guide, Dining Out Chicago Magazine, and others. Follow her on Instagram at @kaleighglaza and work with her on food, blogging and social media at https://www.kaleighglaza.com/
